MemoryStory AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the MemoryStory AI platform at https://memorystory-theta.vercel.app and any associated services. Our current launch is StoryMe: personalized digital bedtime and gift stories created from child photos. MemoryStory remains the umbrella brand for future photo-story products.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that data.

Account information

When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store this to identify your account and personalise your experience.

Photos you upload

Photos you upload are stored securely in our cloud storage (Supabase). They are used solely to generate your story. We do not sell, license, or share your photos with third parties except as necessary to deliver the service (e.g. our AI providers process images to write your story).

Story content

AI-generated text, captions, and story structure produced from your photos are stored so you can revisit, edit, and share them.

Order and payment information

For active digital purchases, payment is processed by Freemius. We never see or store your full card number. We receive purchase confirmation details such as the order reference, license reference, and buyer email. If printed products are introduced later, shipping details would be collected only for those products.

Usage data

We collect standard server logs and analytics (page views, errors, feature usage) to improve the service. This data is not linked to identifiable individuals in the way we use it.

• To create, store, and display your story booklets
• To process digital StoryMe purchases and, if re-enabled later, printed orders
• To send transactional emails (order confirmation, account notifications)
• To improve the platform, funnel, and launch experience
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your photos or story content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers:

• Supabase — database and file storage (EU/US)
• Anthropic — AI story generation (images and text are sent for processing)
• OpenAI — fallback AI provider (same scope as Anthropic)
• Freemius — payment processing and digital commerce infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting

Each provider is bound by their own privacy and data processing agreements. We do not sell your data to any party.

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain session state. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from staying signed in.

We retain your account data and stories for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos are retained until you delete the associated project or close your account. Order data is retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@memorystory.ai.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Port your data to another service
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@memorystory.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.

StoryMe is purchased by adults on behalf of children. We require guardian permission before child photos are uploaded. If you believe a child's data was submitted without authorization, contact us immediately at support@memorystory.ai.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
